I am the editor of ManchesterWorld and run a team covering news, sport and lifestyle across Greater Manchester. I write a real mix of stories from breaking news and transport developments, through to lighter content about local culture, food and drink, entertainment, and nostalgia, and I love working with photo-led journalism and video to tell stories in different ways. I previously worked in Salford as a BBC business producer and as news editor at Lancashire Evening Post and Blackpool Gazette. I started in journalism in 2005 at Scotland's biggest regional newspaper the Press and Journal before moving south in 2007 to the north west where I have lived ever since. In my spare time, I also love travelling, walking, watching films and yoga and my favourite place to be is by the sea.
