Zikel Bobmanuel: 32-year-old man charged with murder

A man has been charged with the murder of Manchester dad, Zikel Bobmanuel.

Police were called to an incident on Welland Street, Openshaw, at around 2pm on Saturday (25 March) and Zikel Bobmanuel, 32, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene from suspected gunshot wounds.

Emannuel Onasanya, 32, of John Beeley Avenue in Manchester, has been charged with murder and has been remanded into custody. He will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court this morning (28 March 2023).

Zikel’s family continue to be supported by specialist officers. They have described him as a hands-on dad to his children including a six-week old baby and his mother’s ‘pride and joy’.
