Manchester dog attack: man arrested after girl hurt in Carrington incident

Police have now arrested a 36-year-old man in relation to a dog attack on a six-year-old girl in Trafford.

Officers were called to an address in Ackers Lane in Carrington on Sunday afternoon and the girl was taken to hospital where she remains stable and undergoing treatment.

A man has now been arrested on suspicion of offences under Section 3 of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 and perverting the course of justice. The man, from the Carrington area of Trafford, remains in custody for questioning while investigations are ongoing.

Police previously confirmed they had seized a number of dogs as part on inquiries.
