Manchester Marathon 2024: date & how to enter next year’s race

More than 28,000 runners took to the streets for Sunday’s 2023 Manchester Marathon. The race, the UK’s biggest behind the London Marathon, also attracted thousands of spectators cheering them on. It’s partly a popular marathon as the route is fairly flat and goes past some Manchester landmarks such as the Beetham Tower and Old Trafford.

And for those keen to enter again, or inspired by the runners to take on their first marathon challenge, there is good news. Entry to the 2024 Manchester Marathon is already being opened for those keen to get ahead of the pack. The next adidas Manchester Marathon will be held on Sunday 14 April 2024 and you can register for priority access on the marathon’s website here.

You will get an email on Monday 17 April 2023, giving you access to book your place 24 hours before places are opened to the general public. Entry costs have not yet been confirmed but an early bird discount will be offered to those signing up.
