Molly-Mae Hague makes £3.4m in one year making her the most successful Love Islander

Molly-Mae Hague is the most successful Love Island star ever after reportedly earning a whopping £3.4 million last year. Despite coming second with professional boxer, Tommy Fury, in Love Island 2019, the pair have gone from strength to strength both emotionally and financially.

After leaving the villa, Molly-Mae immediately secured a deal with PrettyLittleThing despite the fact that it wasn’t the highest offer on the table. She was offered another deal from a highstreet brand offering her £2 million but turned it down as she didn’t “personally wear the brand”. PLT initially offered her a deal worth £500,000 but increased it to £600,000 the following year due to its success. In 2021, the company made her a permanent fixture as they hired her as their creative director.

Alongside her role as creative director of PTL she also represents Beauty Works. Beauty Works was one of the first companies to work with Molly-Mae after she finished as runner-up but in January 2022 she went on to secure a seven figure deal with the brand. She has her own exclusive range selling styling tools, gift sets, hair extensions and limited edition bundles.

It doesn’t stop there as the 23-year-old is the sole director of MMH Group Holdings, where she has three businesses under the group’s umbrella: Filter, MMH International and FM Cosmetics. Filter by Molly-Mae is her personal tanning brand collection and it has proved to be a huge success with her followers. It offers tanning mousse, tanning spritz, tanning drops and everything you need to obtain a natural-looking and long lasting tan.

Alongside the companies she owns and her collaborations with major brands she also makes a profitable career out of being an influencer. With more than eight  million Instagram followers it is not surprising that brands are keen to secure sponsored posts with the star. It has previously been reported that she can earn an eye-watering £10,890 for each sponsored post she shares on Instagram.

As well as Instagram, Molly-Mae has 3.1 followers on TikTok and her own YouTube vlog where she can often be seen trialling new beauty products and sharing her opinions with her fans.

Molly-Mae gave birth to baby daughter, Bambi, in January 2023 and has been very vocal about her experience as a new mum. Despite finding the experience “overwhelming” it is clear Molly still has a head for business and is balancing family life with her ever-growing empire. She’s thought to have an impressive joint net worth of over £9 million with her boxer boyfriend Tommy Fury, and £6 million to her name alone.
