Tommy Fury has issued an announcement about proposing to girlfriend Molly-Mae during an appearance on ITV’s Loose Men. The Love Island 2019 runner-up shared an update with the audience when pushed by interviewer Vernon Kaye.

When Vernon asked when he was planning to propose to Molly-Mae, Tommy replied: “I mean I have had it in my ear for the past two years but what can you do? My actual plan was to do it a lot sooner but, being a boxer, when you are in a training camp you have got to shut yourself off and just focus on the fight”.

He went on to add whilst holding his hands up: “I’m going to do it soon guys, honestly but it just takes a bit of time”.

The professional boxer met Molly-Mae on Love Island 2019 and there was instant chemistry between the two. Despite finishing in second place, the pair quickly moved in together and their relationship went from strength to strength. Molly-Mae gave birth to a baby girl, Bambi, in January and her Instagram is flooded with snaps of the cute tot.

Tommy, younger brother of Tyson Fury, discussed their decision to start a family so soon and admitted that they started talking about it one or two weeks after leaving the villa. He added: “We were on the same page. We both wanted children at quite a young age and the rest is history.”

Whilst Tommy admitted that baby Bambi was causing them "a lot of sleepless nights" he assured the audience that it was all worth it. Tommy has spent many weeks away from Molly-Mae and his newborn due to his hectic schedule and training. Molly-Mae has been very open with her followers about the ups and downs of being a new mum on her Instagram account. She recently highlighted that it is not all glamour, saying: “I’ll let you in on a secret… I’m still wearing my maternity jeans”.

Over the past few months Molly-Mae has used her social media platforms to discuss her decision to stop  breastfeeding, the criticism she has received for her parenting choices and the “exhaustion” that being a new mum brings with it.

The PrettyLittleThing creative director added: “Being a mum consists of great days, bad days, normal days, overwhelming days, perfect days, sad days… a lot of days of just making it to the end of the day! But through it all, a crazy amount of love.”
