Local Elections 2024: Full Rochdale Council results as George Galloway's Workers Party of Great Britain wins seats

George Galloway is celebrating winning two seats in Rochdale - but Labour maintain a firm grip on the council chamber.

The ruling party lost two seats to the controversial MP’s Workers Party of Great Britain but still have 44 of the 60 seats on the council.

For the Workers’ Party, Minaam Ellahi received 1,812 votes in the Milkstone and Deeplish ward to win his seat with 62% of the vote. Farooq Ahmed took 53% of the vote to take a seat in Central Rochdale.
