Local elections 2024: Full Stockport Council election results as Liberal Democrats come one short of majority

Stockport Council seats have been decided in the May 2024 local elections. Heading into the election, the Liberal Democrats had a minority control over the council.

The election saw the party win 11 seats of the 21 on offer. That saw them gain two seats but come one short of gaining overall control of the council. Overall there are 31 Lib Dem councillors, 22 Labour, three Greens, three from the Edgeley Community Association, three representing the Heald Green Ratepayers and one independent.
