Why did Harry Styles interrupt his own Love on Tour concert in Manchester?

They say you should never forget where you came from and Harry Styles passed this adage with flying colours when he briefly halted his concert in front of 70,000 adorning fans on Wednesday.

The former One Direction singer stopped to pay tribute to his former teacher, Mrs. Ann Vernon.

Styles then went looking for Mrs. Vernon in the crowd but sadly, she was not at the concert.

Whilst Mrs. Vernon was not at the concert, Styles’ Year One teacher, Mrs. Bailey was and she had her picture shown on the big screens near the stage.

Styles also dedicated one of his songs to all his former teachers.

Who is Mrs. Vernon?

Ann Vernon taught Harry Styles when he was four year-old.

Mrs. Vernon told BBC Manchester about the moment she heard her former student, Harry Styles, paid tribute to her at the concert.

Mrs Bailey “rang and told me what had happened and sent me a little clip of it and it was just so touching, so amazing, so lovely.

“As a teacher, you remember all of the children that you’ve taught, all of them are amazing in their own way.”

Mrs. Vernon added: “Harry obviously has gone on to mega, mega things - everybody at Hermitage is just so, so proud of him.”
