'Personal terms agreed' - Man Utd star's exit gathers pace as €15m contract claim made amid further Fabrizio Romano update
A couple of Manchester United players are being linked with moves away from the club this January
Manchester United will look to build on their positive run of results when they face Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon. The Red Devils left it late to beat Southampton in midweek, as Amad scored a 12-minute hat-trick to help Ruben Amorim’s side turn around a 1-0 deficit.

As Amorim continues to focus on the action on the pitch, there is plenty of transfer business being discussed ahead of the February 3 deadline. United have no budget this month with Amorim keen to sign a left wing-back and striker. Money for permanent signings will only be made available if United can sanction permanent moves for a host of stars.
A number of players have been linked with moves away, most notably Marcus Rashford. However, the latest updates surround the futures of Alejandro Garnacho and Antony. Both players are linked with moves to Europe and exits for both men are reported to have taken a step forward in recent days.
Antony close to Real Betis move
Antony’s time at Old Trafford has been an overall disappointing one following his £86m move from Ajax in 2022. The forward has struggled to deliver consistent performances and according to Fabrizio Romano, he is set for a move to La Liga with Real Betis.
The deal will only be a loan and as things stand there is no option to make the move permanent at the end of the season. United will still cover a percentage of the Brazilian’s wages. Romano said on X: “Real Betis are closing in on Antony deal with Man United! Final details of the agreement being discussed, loan move until June with NO option clause currently included. Antony has opened doors to the move, Man United will also cover part of the salary.”
Since joining United under Erik ten Hag, Antony has made 95 appearances, scoring 12 goals and providing five assists. He is under contract with the Red Devils for another two years once the current campaign comes to an end.
Garnacho ‘agrees’ personal terms with Napoli
United forward Alejandro Garnacho has been strongly linked with a move to Serie A side Napoli as they seek a replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia following his move to Paris Saint-Germain. It was reported that Napoli are planning to test United’s resolve with a new and improved bid for the forward, after reportedly having an offer in the region of £38m knocked back.
Antonio Conte’s side are currently top of the Serie A table and chasing their second league title in three seasons after bouncing back from a disastrous 10th place finish last term. They hope to offer Garnacho Champions League football next season and a key role in their starting line-up. And in the latest update, per Tutto Sport (via Napoli Magazine) Garnacho has agreed personal terms ahead of a potential switch. The proposed five-year deal is said be worth £12.6m (€15m). United are only likely to sell for the right price, which is said to be around the £59m mark.
