According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, the Red Devils are ‘pushing’ to sign the Slovakian shot-stopper before Thursday’s deadline.
“Manchester United are now pushing to make Martin Dubravka their next signing: Newcastle expected to answer today after [an] official loan bid submitted with £5m buy option included,” Romano tweeted.
“Dubravka [has] agreed personal terms - he has asked [the] NUFC board to leave as he dreams of [playing for] Man Utd.”

The Slovakian is yet to feature for the Magpies this season after the arrival of Nick Pope at St James’ Park, but has experience of playing in the Premier League, FA Cup, Europa League and Champions League.
Dubravka’s arrival would likely allow Under-23 shot-stoppers Matej Kovar and Nathan Bishop to seal loan moves away from the club.
Dean Henderson, who was second-choice to De Gea last season, left the Red Devils to join Nottingham Forest on a season-long loan in July, and has since impressed.
