Manchester United v West Ham teams announced: Maguire returns for Red Devils

Harry Maguire returns to the Manchester United team for Saturday’s Premier League encounter with West Ham United.

The centre-back hasn’t started in any of the Red Devils’ last four games but came off the bench in the midweek win over Brenford.

Maguire is the only change from the team that started in London, to the one which faces West Ham, with the United skipper coming in to replace to replace Victor Lindelof, who is missing after a recent break-in at his family home.

On the bench, Edinson Cavani is involved, as is Jesse Lingard, despite being heavily linked with a move away from the club. So too, is Anthony Martial and the Frenchman is also named among the substitutes, however Jadon Sancho is not part of Ralf Rangnick’s 20-man roster.

United start with David De Gea in nets and Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw’s absences mean it’s a back four of Diogo Dalot, Maguire, Raphael Varane and Alex Telles.

In midfield, it’s Scott McTominay, Fred and Bruno Fernandes as a three, as it was against Brentford and Villa.

Anthony Elanga starts for a third game in a row, alongside Mason Greenwood and Cristiano Ronaldo.

As for West Ham, Kurt Zouma and Tomas Soucek return after recent absences, but goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski isn’t involved, with Alphonse Areola starting between the sticks.
