Manchester United player ratings as 4/10 highlights the biggest problem for Ruben Amorim vs Man City
Rasmus Hojlund struggled as Manchester United were held to a goalless draw by Man City in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon. Ruben Amorim made two changes from the side that lost to Nottingham Forest in midweek as Harry Maguire and Hojlund started instead of Matthijs de Ligt and Joshua Zirkzee.
Alejandro Garnacho started brightly to draw a yellow card from Ruben Dias within the opening minute of the match, before he later squandered a superb opportunity to open the scoring for his side with a header from close range. Patrick Dorgu and Manuel Ugarte both also sent efforts wide of the goal as United were unable to take several chances that fell their way in the first half.

Manchester United player ratings vs Man City
Andre Onana - 6
He didn’t have much to do other than a couple of straightforward stops in the second half. A low-key performance in a forgettable match.
Noussair Mazraoui - 6
Another decent display at centre-back. He produced an excellent recovery challenge to deny Phil Foden a certain goal.
Harry Maguire - 6
He replaced Matthijs de Ligt in defence well with a commanding performance before he was replaced ten minutes into the second half.
Leny Yoro - 5

Hide AdA few bright moments, but his poor positioning and a few loose long balls let him down. This was a reminder that he is very much a work in progress.
Diogo Dalot - 6
He should have had an assist for an excellent cross to Garnacho. One of his better performances as a wing-back.
Manuel Ugarte - 5
Exactly what you’d expect. He broke up play well, but his passing was limited, and he struggled to control the game.
Casemiro - 6
A calm presence in central midfield. He moved the ball well, even if his lack of mobility was sometimes a problem.
Patrick Dorgu - 4

Hide AdHe did not do enough with the ball and wasted an excellent opportunity in the first half. He was better after the break and almost had an assist for Zirkzee.
Alejandro Garnacho - 6
A much better showing than against Forest. He was a menace on the left wing but lacked cutting edge when it mattered.
Bruno Fernandes - 7
The heartbeat of the United side again. He took the game by the scruff of the neck and was integral to all of United’s attacking threat.
Rasmus Hojlund - 4
Another anonymous attacking display. He did not do enough to influence the game and was guilty of being out of position too often. He once again highlighted United’s lack of a natural goal scorer.
Victor Lindelof - 6

Hide AdHe did a good job to replace Maguire in the second-half as United were rarely troubled at the back.
Mason Mount - 5
He was booked for a tactical foul on Bernardo Silva after he had been isolated by his teammates. Had an effort blocked by Rico Lewis.
Joshua Zirkzee - 7
He gave United a lift with some good pressing from the bench and sent a good effort at the City goal. He caused a few problems for the City defence.
