Manchester United’s chiefs will already pressing on with plans for the new season as we move into the summer months.
The Red Devils had to settle for a League Cup and top four finish in the season just gone, losing to Manchester City in the FA Cup final last weekend. Erik ten Hag’s men did improve over the course of the season, but the Dutchman will know further strength is required if United are going to make the jump to being title contenders, and signings are likely this summer as a result.

Pavard interest
United are said to be on the lookout for a new centre-back this summer amid talk Harry Maguire could depart.
Napoli’s Kim min-Jae has been heavily linked, but reports in Germany now suggest Bayern Munich and France star Benjamin Pavard is a target, and not just for the Red Devils.
Flornain Plettenberg tweeted: “Update #Pavard: As reported and now confirmed: He will be allowed to leave Bayern immediately. Bayern demands a transfer fee of €30-40m. Real, Barcelona, ManCity, ManUtd and more clubs are in!”

Interest is growing in United star Maguire, who is likely to be allowed to leave the club this summer.
It has been a frustrating spell for the England star at Old Trafford, and it looks as though he will now be afforded a fresh start, with reports claiming Maguire is attracting interest. Tottenham were linked earlier this week, and Football Insider are now saying Aston Villa are interested as they prepare for a return to Europe.
Villarreal’s Pau Torres was being linked with Villa, but Unai Emery may be able to get his hands on Maguire for a cheaper fee, given Torres’ release clause stands are well over £50million.
