Manchester United are reportedly showing an interest in Norwich City full-back Max Aarons, and could make a move this summer.

The 22-year-old defender has two years left on his current deal with the Canaries and has been the subject of interest from some of European football’s biggest clubs over the last two years.

Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Barcelona and Roma have all been linked with a move for the England Under-21 international and German giants Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich are also said to be monitoring his situation at Carrow Road.

Aarons was also believed to be one name under consideration by La Liga champions Atletico Madrid following the sale of Kieran Trippier to Newcastle United.

The Sun are reporting United have added their name to the list of potential suitors as they look to improve their options at right-back in light of Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s inconsistent form.

Aarons has made 29 appearances in all competitions this season and racked up his 150th appearance for the Canaries earlier this campaign after establishing himself as their regular right-back in recent years.

Given the level of interest in Aarons, he looks likely to leave his boyhood club this summer, with the Canaries facing the prospect of suffering their fourth relegation from the Premier League in just nine seasons.

Dean Smith’s side currently lie seven points from safety as they prepare to travel to Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon as the Red Devils get a first-hand view of one of their potential summer transfer options.
