Manchester United have made one January transfer signing so far this month who will immediately join their squad, as they are set to finalise a deal for left-back Patrick Dorgu from Serie A side Lecce.
However, Ruben Amorim will be keen to add to his squad more before the January transfer window is over, especially considering that the likes of Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho could still leave the club.

The Danish international has struggled for United this season, netting just two Premier League goals for the Red Devils, in 18 games. Reports have suggested that he has been putting extra training in to help with his struggles. However, United could sign a striker before the end of the transfer window, when the deadline comes on Monday.
Man United could sign 140-goal Ligue 1 star
United have been previously linked with Lille FC striker Jonathan David, who is set to become a free agent in the summer transfer window, due to his contract at the French club expiring in June.
David has scored 19 goals and contributed seven assists for Lille in 32 games this season in all competitions. He has proven himself to be one of the most prolific goal-scorers in Europe. He has netted 140 times in his club career already.

Considering the struggles that Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund have had this season, David would be an excellent signing for the Red Devils, as a target man who has pace - a player that could feed of the wing-backs putting the ball into the box in Amorim’s system.
Man United face Premier League competition to sign David
Seeing as one of the best goal scorers in the top European leagues is set to become a free agent, it is no wonder that several clubs are eyeing up a move for the Canadian attacker in the summer.
Serie A side Juventus are keen on the 25-year-old, although as they have signed PSG striker Randal Kolo Muani on loan, they may decide to make him permanent in the summer rather than pursuing David.

David has also been linked with Tottenham Hotspur, who are keen to sign more attackers considering the injury problems that they have faced this season under Ange Postecoglou.
United may have to offer David a healthy wage if they are to tempt him away from the other potential suitors in the Premier League. They could make a pre-contract agreement with him now, for him to sign in the summer. Or they could make a cheap transfer offer to try and land him in the final days of the January transfer window.
