'It's tough' - Ruben Amorim confirms third Manchester United injury setback
Ruben Amorim has confirmed Victor Lindelof suffered an injury setback during Manchester United's 4-3 defeat to Tottenham in the Carabao Cup last night.
The Sweden international was one of five changes to the starting line up from the Manchester derby win over Man City and played in the back three alongside Leny Yoro and Lisandro Martinez.

Hide AdLindelof was looking to take advantage of a rare opportunity under Amorim but only last until the dying moments of the first-half when he went down in discomfort and was subsequently unable to continue in the match. The 30-year-old was deflated after another injury setback so soon after his last and stormed down the tunnel after Jonny Evans replaced him.
The experienced centre-back has already missed 48 matches for both club and country because of 12 separate issues since he joined the club from Benfica back in 2017, with his last coming during the November international break. United will have to wait before they can provide further clarity on Lindelof's latest issue, but Amorim says the lack of proper training sessions is partly to blame for the recent issues to him and his teammates.
“I think he has something we have to assess to say specifically what he has but it’s tough to lose a player," he told MUTV after the defeat.
“They work really hard, they want to return but like I said, the same thing with Luke Shaw, Mason Mount and Vic, they had injuries, they don’t have space to train. Just preparing games is not perfect so we’ll try to do it again altogether to have the full squad because with this schedule we need the full squad.”
