Jamie Carragher believes Manchester United fans should be 'worried' by the form of Lisandro Martinez after they lost 4-3 to Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup on Thursday night.
The Argentine defender was at fault for two second-half goals as Tottenham raced into a three-nil lead, first clearing the ball straight to Dejan Kulusevski for a free effort in the box, while his positioning was poor when Dominic Solanke raced through and fired in his second of the match.

Martinez was one of Erik ten Hag's most successful United signings when he followed him from Ajax but he has struggled all season and has not shown any signs of improvement since Ruben Amorim replaced him in the hot seat. The 26-year-old has made a number of uncharacteristic errors during the first-half of the season and former Liverpool defender Carragher believes his recent form should be a huge area of concern for Amorim.
"I think a worry for United fans is Lisandro Martinez," Carragher told Sky Sports. "I didn't think he'd play well in a back four because he's small, but he had a really good first season. In some ways you'd think he'd be suited to a back three, he can step out on his left foot and he's got two big defenders next to him. But I don't think he's looked as comfortable since Amorim came in. He had a really poor night."
