Manchester United fans still await news on the club's potential takeover and the lack of action is rumoured to have Erik ten Hag 'angry' at the knock-on effect for transfers.

The Red Devils manager wants a summer of transformation as he continues his overhaul of the club and the latest reports link the club with a familiar name from Inter Milan.

There's also an update on the ongoing goalkeeping dilemma facing the Dutchman.

'Players come and go,' says Inter Milan star Denzel Dumfries

Inter Milan full-back Denzel Dumfries has given a coy response when asked about his future in Italy at a press conference while on international duty.

The 27-year-old has been a long-term transfer target for Manchester United with the club courting the star even when at former club PSV Eindhoven.

As Erik ten Hag plans his summer shopping list, the club has once again been linked with Dumfries after the star enjoyed another impressive season at the San Siro.

Currently on international duty with the Netherlands, Dumfries was asked about his future at Inter Milan and said: "I’m very proud to play for this team. These last two years have been fantastic, and I’ve very proud whenever I’m driving to Appiano [Inter’s training ground].

“However, modern football is very dynamic. Players come and go.”

Dumfries added that he was 'very happy' to play for Inter but The Mirror reports that the club may be tempted by any Manchester United interest as they look to balance the books at the San Siro.

Erik ten Hag makes Jordan Pickford 'No 1 target'

Discussions over a contract extension with David De Gea remain 'open' but should a deal not be struck, the Spaniard will leave Old Trafford this summer. Meanwhile, Dean Henderson is expected to make his move to Nottingham Forest permanent.

It leaves the Red Devils short-staffed between the sticks and while the club had been linked to FC Porto's Diogo Costa, Inter Milan's Andre Onana and Brentford's David Raya, The Express reports that Pickford is now the main target.

The Toffees keeper is said to be open to leaving Goodison Park this summer after another impressive season despite the side's struggles and would be up for a fight to be number one under ten Hag at United.
