This is one of only five games taking place over the weekend after half of the Premier League’s fixtures were postponed due to outbreaks of Covid-19.

Manchester United’s clash with Brighton & Hove Albion was the first to be cancelled, and it was followed swiftly by Southampton v Brentford, Watford v Crystal Palace, West Ham United v Norwich City and Everton v Leicester City.

That means only two games - Aston Villa v Burnley and Leeds United v Arsenal will now take place on Saturday, with Newcastle v City moved to the same kick-off time as Wolverhampton Wanderers v Chelsea on Sunday, followed by Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool at 4.30pm.

For City, we’re awaiting any further team news after Pep Guardiola’s pre-match press conference was cancelled on Friday afternoon.

Bernardo Silva is a doubt for the game after the City boss revealed in midweek he is suffering from ‘muscular niggles’, while Kyle Walker also missed Wednesday’s win over Leeds United due to a lack of fitness.

Guardiola rested Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus during the 7-0 demolition, while Ruben Dias and Rodri were taken off in the second half. All of the quartet are likely to start at St James’ Park on Sunday.
