From the waterways of Castlefield to the Town Hall, Manchester has been the backdrop for many TV and film productions.
Google Street View has collaborated with travel website Culture Trip to reveal a round-up of top filming locations in Manchester - all of which can be found on Google Maps.
The city’s historic environs and architecture has lent itself to many an atmospheric shot on screen - while it’s easy-access location makes it popular with film crews.
Whether you’re planning an in-person visit or just fancy having a nosey on Street View, these are filming locations that made the list. There are some you may already know of, but others may come as more of a surprise.

1. Castlefield
Peaky Blinders is set in the Small Heath area of Birmingham. However, some filming for the show took place along the atmospheric waterways of Castlefield in Manchester.

2. Salford Lads Club (St Ignatius Walk)
Fans of Peaky Blinders may also have spotted this famous location in Series 2, Episode 6 of the show. In the scene, Tommy meets with his followers ahead of a major rally.

3. Hotel Gotham
The Gotham Hotel can be seen in the sixth series of ‘Peaky Blinders’. The Midland Hotel in the show is the real-life Hotel Gotham.

4. Dale Street
Parts of Dale Street were transformed into New York's Brooklyn for Captain America: The First Avenger. Following Chris Evans transformation into a super-soldier, viewers observe him in an action-packed chase scene.
