Geordie phenomenon Sam Fender is set to rip up the stage at the Castlefield Bowl as one of the Sounds of the City performances.

Fender comes to Manchester just weeks after his phenomenal debut performance at Glastonbury Festival.

Fresh from the Glastonbury performance, Sam Fender will be performing at the Castlefield Bowl on Thursday, 6 July.

Who else is performing as part of the Sounds of the City series?

Foals follow Lewis Capaldi in the running order of Sounds of the City 2022, and in total there will be seven nights of music.

Can I still get tickets to the gig?

Tickets for Sam Fender’s gig at the Castlefield Bowl have sold out through sites such as Ticketmaster.

However, there may be a chance to get hold of tickets through resale websites such as ‘Twickets’.

Sam Fender is a singer songwriter from North Shields, located to the North of Newcastle.

Rising to fame following his debut album release, Fender has become a big name in UK music with his powerful lyrics and friendly, down to earth personality.

He has sold out tour dates across Europe and the USA, and has released two studio albums.

These are Hypersonic Missiles (2019) and Seventeen Going Under (2021).

Most recently, he played a much talked about set at Glastonbury Festival.

Visitors site Visit Manchester gave a run down of what people can expect at the Castlefield Bowl.

A spokesperson said: “Castlefield Bowl in the heart of Manchester City Centre has hosted over the years sold out shows from the likes of Chic, New Order, Arcade Fire, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Rag N Bone Man, Last Shadow Puppets, Catfish And the Bottlemen, Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott, Paolo Nutini, James, Pixies and The Courteeners.”
