Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds are set to play Wigan’s Robin Park this summer. The huge outdoor gig follows the band's successful sell-out of Manchester’s Wythenshawe Park last year.

Ahead of the gig, NGHFB have announced not one, but two support acts for the July 18 gig. Both of these are bands formed in Greater Manchester. The first, Lottery Winners, formed in Leigh in 2008 and made their breakthrough in 2019 by signing a record deal. Their debut, self-titled album was released on March 13 2020, just 10 days before the country was put into Covid-19 lockdown.

They have since released two more albums, with their second album ‘Something To Leave The House For’ reaching number 11 in the UK charts after its release in December 2021. In May 2023 their third record ‘Anxiety Replacement Therapy’ topped the UK charts, they went on to appear at several UK festivals through the year.

Joining Lottery Winners as a support act for NGHFB will be The Slow Readers Club. Formed in 2009, the band consists of members of the band Omerta.

With six studio albums to their name, The Slow Readers Club have steadily built themselves a loyal following. They have appeared at venues across the UK including the AO Arena during their days on the road.  Their most recent album was released in February 2023. ‘Knowledge Freedom Power’ broke into the UK’ top 30 album charts.
