Wigan Robin Park tickets and travel as Noel Gallagher, Richard Ashcroft and The Lathums announce 2024 shows

Greater Manchester is home to a large number of music venues of varying sizes. Manchester itself has several huge venues and many more intimate but still iconic spots to catch bands and musicians. 

Taking a wider look around the region, one venue is set to have a bumper 2024. Located in Wigan, Robin Park is already set to be the host for several big time gigs - with a real local twist to them.

The start of December has been a particularly busy one for the venue, which is also Wigan Warriors training venue. Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds are set to take to the stage in the summer. They will be supported by Manchester band The Lottery Winners. Wigan’s own chart-toppers The Lathums and another hometown favourite in Richard Ashcroft have also been confirmed.

Robin Park may be relatively new to you as a music venue, but it feels as though you’ll soon be hearing plenty about it. We’ve taken a look at how you can get to it, and also who has been announced so far. 

2024 Summer Festivals line-up at Robin Park in Wigan

The busy period of announcements has been topped with the NGHFB’s gig, but this is just one of several confirmed for 2024 so far. Here are the musicians you’ll be able to catch at Robin Park next summer:

How to get to Robin Park in Wigan

Robin Park is located directly next to the DW Stadium, home to Wigan Warriors and Wigan Athletic FC. As Wigan is located close to several motorways, getting to the venue isn’t too much trouble. 

By Car 

From Manchester city centre, the venue is around 27 miles away. The best way to get into Wigan will be via the M62 and journey times will vary depending on traffic. 

By Train 

From Manchester, you can get to Wigan Wallsgate station from either Oxford Road or Victoria stations. The journey time is around 40-45 minutes and the services are direct. 

From the station, Robin Park is around a 20/25 minute walk away. You can also get several bus services which will have you at the arena in around 15 minutes. These are the 2, 4, 10, 352 and 295 services.
