Manchester Marathon 2024 photos: 143 brilliant pictures of the 32,000 runners and how to check results

The Manchester Marathon returned in style and our photographer was there to capture the action.

A record 32,000 runners took on this year’s Manchester Marathon with around 125,000 lining the streets of the city to cheer them on.

After some unsettled conditions the weather was thankfully kind to those taking on the 26-mile course. Participants in the Elite races set off from around 9am with staggered start times all the way through to 11.10am. As with previous years, the route started and ended in Trafford.

Adam Clarke was first across the line in a time of 2:16:29 to win the men’s race, with Bret Crossley winning the wheelchair race in 1:50:38, just a minute slower than his time from 12 months ago.

You can see the times for all the fastest runners here, and you can check all the 2024 Manchester Marathon results via this tool on the marathon website, with times added around 45 minutes after runners complete the course.

Our photographer David Hurst was there to capture all the action. See if you can spot yourself or friends and family in our brilliant gallery.
