The Lawn Tennis Association has announced that The Davis Cup will be returning to Manchester’s AO Arena this year. The tournament, also known as the World Cup of Tennis, was a huge success when it was at the arena last year.

In 2023, almost 37,000 fans attended the event, with the final day setting an all-time single-day GB Davis Cup attendance record of 13,000. Fans watched Team GB, France, Switzerland and Australia battle it out over six days.

This year, the tournament will take over the AO Arena from September 10 to 15. Team GB will return to face three other nations who will be decided in a draw later this month.

Each nation will play three times over the six-day competition. The top two nations from each of the four groups will advance to a quarterfinal ‘Final 8’ knock-out competition held in Malaga between November 19-24.

The week of tennis at the AO Arena is also complemented by a fan village which last year was situated outside the National Football Museum. You can expect plenty more fun features like this to be announced in the coming months.
