The Davis Cup takeover of Manchester’s AO Arena has begun, and the matches come thick and fast. For six days, fixtures involving two of Great Britain, France, Switzerland and Australia will be fought on the arena floor.
All teams have played their first games, with France opening up on day 1 with a comprehensive 3-0 win against Switzerland. Home nation Great Britain didn’t have it all their own way against Australia, but they did enough to win the fixture 2-1 overall.

Hide AdEach day will see two nations face each other in three matches, two singles games and then a doubles match. The play gets underway at 1pm each day and the matches are intense as sides battle it out for the all important points.

The tennis at AO Arena got underway on Tuesday September 12, and the action will conclude on Sunday September 17. The fixtures and results of the week are below:

Great Britain’s remaining matches at the AO Arena will be broadcast live on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website. What must be noted is that the coverage will not be available through BBC TV channels, but online only.
