What is the aim for Manchester City this season?

The last few years have been pretty good if you are a Manchester City fan. Regular Premier League titles as well as domestic cup victories have turned Pep Guardiola’s side into a real force to be reckoned with.

With the new signings through the door, the upcoming season looks to be no different, but arguably the main aim for City will be claiming that elusive first Champions League crown.

City came close last season, being edged out by eventual winners Real Madrid at the semi-final stage.

This came a year after they suffered Champions League final heartbreak at the hands of fellow English side Chelsea in the 2021 final.

Challenging with Liverpool has become the main aim for Manchester City, and another Premier League title will be viewed as a target just as important as in any other season.

A european crown would be a fitting way to mark what has been a superb stay in Manchester for Pep Guardiola.
