The quarter final stage of the Vitality Blast is here, and fans of Lancashire Lightning will be counting down the days to their big day in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

Each of the remaining sides in the competition are now vying for one of the four places at the Finals Day at Edgbaston, including the Old Trafford side.

When is the quarter final?

Lancashire Lightning faced Essex Eagles in the quarter final for a place on the billing of the iconic Vitality Blast Finals Day.

This is due to take place at Old Trafford Cricket Ground on Friday, 8 July and will get underway at 6.30pm.

How did Lancashire reach the knockout stage?

Lancashire Lightning finished second in the North Group, winning eight of their 14 league matches.

They were unbeaten against Roses rivals Yorkshire, winning one and tying the other.

Lancashire finished joint top with Derbyshire Falcons and Birmingham Bears, the latter they beat at Old Trafford in the final group match on Sunday, 3 July.

The win extended Lancashire’s T20 unbeaten home record to 14 matches after a dramatic finale that saw 13 required off the final over bowled by Henry Brookes.

Tom Hartley, who contributed 19 runs off 9 balls, pulled the first ball over deep square leg for six before Danny Lamb perished to a catch by Olly Stone at deep mid-wicket for 8.

The top four from the North Group made it through to the quarter final stage, to play the top four in the South Group.

Yorkshire Vikings were the fourth club from the North Group to reach the last eight, with Surrey Somerset, Essex Eagles and Hampshire Hawks qualifying from the South Group.

Can I get tickets?

Tickets to the Vitality Blast quarter final at Old Trafford are on sale now, with adult tickets bought in advance priced at £12 and £17 on the day.

Children’s tickets are just £1 and all tickets can be bought through the official Lancashire Cricket Club website.

Members of Lancashire Cricket Club can purchase a ticket for free by logging into their account.

Is the match on TV?

If you are unable to get to the match but are still keen to follow proceedings, have no fear.

The match will be shown live on Sky Sports Cricket in full, with build up from the Sky Sports Team and interviews with former and current players of the game.
