Teenager confirms he has signed for Manchester United after successful trial
Manchester United have signed teenage hopeful Dante Plunkett after he spent the second-half of the season on trial with the club.
The young left-back will officially join the club as part of their new scholarship intake for the next two seasons before a decision is made on whether or not to offer him a professional contract.

Hide AdPlunkett had previously been part of the Aston Villa youth set-up before he joined United on a trial basis earlier in the year. The defender featured on the bench for the U18s in February and then made his debut for the title-winning youth side in their final match of the season.
While there is still a lot of work to be done before Plunkett has any chance of making it at United, he could be set to get a good run in the U18s team next season with Harry Amass likely to be integrated at U21s level to aid his own development.
Plunkett's move to Manchester has been anticipated for some time now and taking to social media over the weekend he officially confirmed his move to Old Trafford.
In a picture uploaded to Instagram, the youngster was seen posing with his United shirt underneath the famous Trinity statue at Old Trafford of Denis Law, Sir Bobby Charlton and George Best.
He added the caption: "“Onto bigger things!✝️ @manchesterunited."
