Marcus Rashford has not been included in the Manchester United matchday squad for tonight's Carabao Cup quarter-final clash against Tottenham Hotspur due to selection reasons.
The 27-year-old was omitted from the United squad for their derby win over Man City at the weekend and has missed out on a place in Ruben Amorim's side once again in midweek.

Hide AdAmorim insisted the forward's absence from the derby win was due to selection purposes rather than any disciplinary matter, while his latest squad omission is once again due to performance matters rather than any fitness issue. Asked about Rashford’s absence, the head coach told Sky Sports: “Selection. I chose the players I felt was ready to cope with the demands of playing a strong team. Just selection.”
Rashford's absence comes just days after he admitted he was 'ready for a new challenge' in his career. Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Amorim insisted United were a better team with ‘big talent’ Rashford, but it clearly does not mean he will be given a free pass as the club look to reinvigorate his stagnant career.
United are also without Matthijs de Ligt for the Carabao Cup clash due to illness, while Altay Bayindir starts his first match under Amorim, and only his fourth since he joined the club a year ago. Leny Yoro and Victor Lindelof start in defence, with Antony and Christian Eriksen selected in two of the midfield roles.
United XI: Bayindir, Yoro, Lindelof, Martinez, Dalot, Ugarte, Eriksen, Mazraoui, Antony, Fernandes, Hojlund.
Subs: Onana, Evans, Maguire, Malacia, Casemiro, Mainoo, Amad, Garnacho, Zirkzee.
