Manchester United appear to be flying high again as Erik ten Hag continues to impact his side. The Red Devils came from behind to secure a dramatic and somewhat controversial win over rivals Manchester City over the weekend, moving to within a point of the reigning champions.

United have won every game since returning from the World Cup break, and they will be looking to keep that run going when they face runaway leaders Arsenal this weekend. In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding Old Trafford as the January window rumbles on.

Reus bombshell

Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus’ agents were spotted at Old Trafford during United’s win over City. The Daily Mail obtained images of Reus’ agents Dirk Hebel and Darren Freeman over the weekend, and that is particularly interesting because Reus is out of contract at the end of this season.

Talks are said to be ongoing between Reus and Dortmund over a new deal, but it seems his agents could be shopping around, and United are already free to discuss a potential pre-contract agreement. United do have options in attacking midfield, but Reus on a free might be too good to turn down.

Pellistri decision

Ten Hag is said to have blocked a loan move away for United youngster Facundo Pellistri. According to recent reports, United are looking to offload a couple of their young fringe players on loan deals, keen for their youngsters to continue their development with regular football.

According to Jorge Nicola, two Brazilian clubs were interested in taking Pellistri on loan, but after discussions with Ten Hag, it has been decided that the youngster will stay. It will be interesting to see whether the stance stays the same until the end of the transfer window, and whether any possible incomings change Ten Hag’s view.
