Manchester United place Premier League defender on 'radar' ahead of January
Latest Manchester United news and rumours following their Premier League clash against Liverpool
Manchester United ended up having a busy transfer window and brought in the likes of Noussair Mazraoui, Matthijs de Ligt, Joshua Zirkzee and Manuel Ugarte to bolster their ranks. They finished 8th in the Premier League last season and will be hoping for much better in this campaign.

Erik ten Hag’s side also got their hands on the FA Cup last term. Here is a look at some of the latest news and rumours coming out of the club...
Winger update
Jadon Sancho took a ‘pay cut’ to join Chelsea from United on loan on deadline day, according to reporter Fabrizio Romano. The winger was given the green light to depart Old Trafford on a temporary basis.
The Blues have an obligation to buy him permanently next year. He joined the Red Devils in 2021 from Borussia Dortmund and has since scored 12 goals in 83 games in all competitions.
Romano has reported, as per CaughtOffside: “Man United just wanted to move on from Sancho as they understood the player only wanted to leave. This is why they accepted this solution but still at their condition. So it all started from the player as he really wanted to join Chelsea, it was his priority, and it’s true that the player reduced his salary for this move, as it was the only way to make it happen.”
After securing his switch to Stamford Bridge, he said: “I’m really excited to be here. London is where I grew up and I’m happy to be back. The manager spoke to me about the project and, for a young player, it's exciting. Hopefully I can bring goals and assists to the Bridge.”
Left-back targeted
AFC Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez is on United’s ‘radar’ ahead of January, according to GiveMeSport. The Red Devils are keen to bring in a more youthful option in that particular position as competition for Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.
Kerkez, who is 20-years-old, has a bright future ahead of him and the Cherries could face a battle to keep hold of him down the line. He moved to England in 2023 from AZ Alkmaar and played 33 games in all competitions last term.
The Hungary international was part of his country’s squad for Euro 2024 earlier this summer but they didn’t get out of their group in Germany in the end. He has 19 caps under his belt so far despite his young age.
