Ralf Rangnick only has a few more weeks left as Manchester United’s interim manager before he becomes part of the background coaching staff - with Erik ten Hag expected to take over.
Currently sitting in seventh place in the Premier League, the Old Trafford dressing room has been far from a happy setting for a while.

Recently knocked out of the UEFA Champions League after losing at home to Atletico Madrid, United then went on to lose 1-0 to the struggling Everton - a real sign that this summer is a time for massive upheaval for one of the historically most successful clubs in English football.
With the transfer season in the not too distant future, let’s take a look at all the latest news from Old Trafford.
RB Leipzig midfielder eyed
French midfielder Christopher Nkunku is reportedly on Rangnick’s list of transfer hopefuls for the summer. This is according to Sports Journalist Florian Plettenberg’s Twitter.

Plettenberg explains that Rangnick has been a fan of the RB Leipzig player and there have been internal talks about bringing the 24-year-old to Old Trafford over the summer.
Previously, Rangnick has been left astounded to learn that Nkunku was never on any scouting reports from United but after 17 goals in this season’s Bundesliga as well as seven in the Champions League, he is becoming a much harder prospect to ignore.
When Rangnick takes up his advisory role in the summer, Nkunku will no doubt be on his wish list.

United look to battle it out for rising England star
The West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Sam Johnstone has earned three caps for England and will be desperate for a place in the Premier League next season if he is to continue receiving those international caps.
With Johnstone’s contract running out at the end of the season, Baggies’ boss Steve Bruce has said he expects his star goalie to leave rather than stay to continue fighting for promotion.

Johnstone came through the United academy and has been linked with a return, according to Sky Sports.
Spurs were reportedly close to a deal with Johnstone in January, but ultimately decided to prioritise other positions in the squad but as the rising England man is now on a free transfer, he is becoming even more of a viable option for a number of Premier League clubs.
United dressing room in uproar over Paul Pogba
The Mirror has reported that the Red Devils are once again facing backlash from the dressing after they offered to make the French international Pogba the Premier League’s highest-paid player.

The midfielder is out of contract this summer and has been desperate to leave United for a while, and has reportedly refused to accept a deal worth £500,000-a-week.
Since the announcement of this potential deal, a source from United has told the Mirror that there is highly likely to be a ‘mutiny’ if this offer is accepted: “Some of the players think it’s out of order he could be getting twice as much as they’re when he hardly starts a game and talks about leaving all the time.”
The 29-year-old is currently receiving interest from Paris St Germain and Real Madrid with former club Juventus also looking into a potential deal. Pogba would leave this summer as a free agent but would be entitled to a huge signing-on fee if he were to finally leave Old Trafford this year.
