Manchester United make Manuel Ugarte decision vs West Ham as star player returns to line up

Bruno Fernandes has been recalled to the Manchester United starting line up for their Premier League clash with West Ham on Sunday afternoon.

The Portuguese playmaker is back in the United side after he missed their midweek draw with Fenerbahce due to suspension, but summer signing Manuel Ugarte has dropped out of the line up despite his best performance for the club in Turkey.

Noussair Mazraoui returns to his more usual full-back role after he featured in attacking midfield last time out, while Casemiro and Christian Eriksen have been selected as the midfield pairing from the start.

Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford retain their starting roles on the wing and Rasmus Hojlund has replaced Joshua Zirkzee through the middle.

Speaking after the draw in Istanbul, Ten Hag urged for patience for summer signing Ugarte after his arrival from Paris Saint-Germain. "You have to integrate them. He came in late in the window and then we had to integrate him during the competitions, and that takes time.

"We have to stay patient but, as you see, if the quality in that position is not right it's very difficult for a team to control games - and then I don't even speak about dominating games.

"So, that position needs one who brings the quality all the time, and we have to integrate him now in this team. I'm pleased with his performance [against Fenerbahce] and from here on he can build up."
