Manchester United 'lining' up transfer move for USA international amid target update
Latest Manchester United news and rumours as they prepare for their upcoming Premier League clash
Manchester United are back in action on Sunday afternoon at home to Liverpool. They were beaten 2-1 away at Brighton and Hove Albion last time out.

The Red Devils will be eager to bounce back from their loss at the AMEX Stadium with a positive result. Here is a look at some of the latest news coming out of the club...
Left-back latest
United ‘never initiated’ talks with Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell in the transfer window, as detailed in a report by GiveMeSport. The defender was linked with a switch to Old Trafford but nothing materialised for him in the end and he ended up staying put at Stamford Bridge beyond the English deadline on Friday.
GiveMeSport’s report claims Brentford made an enquiry regarding his availability, whilst he has been offered to Fenerbahce with the Turkish market still open. The player isn’t believed to interested in moving to Saudi Arabia at this stage.
Chilwell, who is 27-years-old, has fallen out of favout at Chelsea under former Manchester City coach Enzo Maresca. The former Leicester City man has a decision to make on whether he wants to move abroad now or stay put until January.
Defender on radar
United are ‘lining’ up a move for Fulham full-back Antonee Robinson for January, according to The Sun. They could see him as someone to bolster their defensive department and compete with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.
Robinson has been a key player for his current club since making the move to Craven Cottage in 2020. He rose up through the ranks at Everton but never made a senior appearance for the Toffees.
Instead, the USA international was loaned out to Bolton Wanderers and Wigan Athletic to get some experience under his belt. He then left Goodison Park permanently for the latter before eventually ending up in London with the Whites.
The Milton Keynes-born man has played 153 games for Fulham so far and has scored three goals. He helped them gain promotion from the Championship in 2022 under Marco Silva and has since adapted well to the step up to the top flight.
