Mainoo, Ugarte, Yoro - Manchester United latest injury news and return dates on 12 players vs Everton

Manchester United hope to welcome a few players back from injury and illness when they travel to face Everton in the Premier League fixture this weekend. Ruben Amorim's side travel to Goodison Park below Everton in the league table after they lost 1-0 to Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, already their 12th league defeat of the season.

United were without 12 senior players for their trip to North London at the weekend and have several serious setbacks to contend with for the remainder of the season. A couple of players have already been ruled out for the rest of the campaign and while there are a lot of mid-term injuries, there are also a few players who could be back in action soon.

Here is a look at all the latest injury news and the expected return dates ahead of United's trip to face Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday lunchtime.

Leny Yoro - February 22 vs Everton (A)

Yoro missed the defeat to Tottenham due to illness but was present at a team bonding event on Wednesday night. It is hoped he will be available for the trip to Everton.

Altay Bayindir - February 22 vs Everton (A)

Bayindir has missed the last two matches with an unspecified injury issue. It is hoped he will return to action soon and could be available on the bench against Everton.

Manuel Ugarte - February 26 vs Ipswich (H)

Ugarte missed the trip to Tottenham after he suffered an injury setback in training. His issue isn’t believed to be severe, though it is unclear when he might be available again.

Toby Collyer - February 26 vs Ipswich (H)

Collyer did not make the journey to North London last weekend and there has been no specific update on his situation. He is another who is not believed to have suffered a serious issue.

Christian Eriksen - February 26 vs Ipswich (H)

Eriksen also missed the Tottenham defeat due to illness and Amorim warned it might be a while before he is back in contention to play. The Danish midfielder took to social media this week to insist there was nothing serious about his setback.

Jonny Evans - February 26 vs Ipswich Town (H)

Evans has been sidelined with a calf injury and it is unclear when he will be available for selection again. He could be available next week at the earliest.

Luke Shaw - March 2 vs Fulham (H)

Shaw suffered another setback upon his recent return to injury and will not be rushed back to action. There is hope he could return over the next coming matches.

Mason Mount - 9 March vs Arsenal (H)

United are confident Mount will return to action before the end of the season and he should be available for selection again next month. The home match against Arsenal seems like a suitable target.

Kobbie Mainoo - 1 April vs Nottingham Forest (A)

Mainoo will miss around six few weeks of action after he suffered a training injury earlier in the week. He is expected to be sidelined until after the March international break, but could return slightly earlier if United reach the FA Cup quarter-finals.

Tom Heaton - Unknown

Heaton is currently sidelined with an unspecified injury and it remains to be seen when he will return to action as third-choice goalkeeper.

Amad Diallo - Unknown

Amad suffered ankle ligament damage in training last week and Amorim expects the forward to miss the remainder of the season.

Lisandro Martinez - Unknown

Martinez has been ruled out for the remainder of the season but the true timescale of his setback is unknown. He could be out anywhere from six months to an entire year.
