Manchester United confirm Blanc role change

An official statement released by Manchester United on Monday afternoon confirmed Jean-Claude Blanc had stepped down from his role as a director of the club and taken on a new position within the organisation.

“Jean-Claude Blanc has stepped down from his position as a director of Manchester United Football Club,” it read. “However he will continue to have an active role in the management of the club in his new position as Chief of International Football Relations and Special Adviser to the board.”

It is understood Blanc is still highly rated by key figures at Old Trafford, with sources suggesting he will continue to be actively involved in the management of the club.
