Ruben Amorim says Mason Mount asked to be replaced after he 'stretched his leg' during Manchester United’s incredible 2-1 comeback win over Man City.
Mount was one of four changes to the United starting line up for their 2-1 victory at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, but only lasted 14 minutes before he went down with an injury and had to be replaced by academy graduate Kobbie Mainoo.

Mount was seen holding back the tears as he left the pitch and headed straight down the tunnel against Man City, with a further update on his fitness situation expected later in the week.
United are back in action when they travel to face Tottenham in the Carabao Cup on Thursday night and after the derby win Amorim said of the midfielder: "Mason Mount, he stretched his leg in play. He felt something, so let's recover. He is really important for us, he is the kind of player I really like. He is the kind of player that our team needed, because he is talented, he works really hard and he is humble. So we need him a lot."
