Incoming and outgoings will be a neccesity as the Dutchman looks to put his own stamp on this squad, and he should have a solid chunk of money to work with.

But that’s only half the battle, and United may not be quite as attractive as they once were, with other clubs able to offer Champions League football.

As ten Hag looks to navigate that challenge, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours.

De Jong asking price drops

Barcelona are said to have reduced their asking price for Frenkie de Jong amid links with United.

The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a move for the Dutch midfielder, who is said to want to remain at Camp Nou.

But amid financial difficulties, Barca may push him out the door, and according to Sport, the Blaugrana have reduced their asking price to £59.9million, down from £73.5million.

Nkunku price

United have also learned the asking price for RB Leipzig star Christopher Nkunku.

The 24-year-old has impressed for the German side over the last three years, scoring 31 goals in 94 Bundesliga appearances.

Nkunku has become a sought-after talent, but according to Leipziger Volkszeitung, Leipzig will demand as much as £100million to sell him this summer.

Antony update

Fabrizio Romano has issued an update on United’s reported interest in Ajax winger Antony.

“Manchester United have genuine interest in Antony, of course Erik ten Hag knows him so well - still no bid, just internal discussions,” he wrote on Twitter.

“UFC …but Emerson Santos [he’s Antony’s brother, not agent] has not made any interview speaking of Man United. He denies - ‘fake news’. “
