Borussia Dortmund demand Jadon Sancho ‘apology’ in tongue-in-cheek post

Last night, Borussia Dortmund defeated PSG by a score of 1-0 in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final tie, and the star of the show was Manchester United loanee Jadon Sancho.

He looked to be back to his best in the Yellow and Black, creating chances for his teammates and making himself available at all times down the flank. This led to Dortmund demanding an apology from his doubters on social media, putting forth a humorous post in the process.

In the post, featured on their official X (formerly Twitter) account, Dortmund penned: “You all owe him an apology, we were ALWAYS familiar with his game.”

Kobbie Mainoo and Andre Onana up for Premier League individual awards

While several United players have underperformed in the 2023/24 season, there have been a couple of bright sparks. Both Kobbie Mainoo and Andre Onana have largely been excellent this month - as such, they are now up for the goal and save of the month awards for April.

Mainoo’s goal against Liverpool on April 7 and Onana’s save against Burnley are the moments in question. The pair have been two of United’s best players in the current campaign - it would not be surprising to see them pick up more individual awards before the season concludes on May 19.
