United are set to be without Lisandro Martinez and Amad Diallo for the remainder of the season. while Luke Shaw and Mason Mount are both long-term injury concerns. Toby Collyer is the player considered the closest to a return from injury, with Kobbie Mainoo set to miss the next five weeks of action. Altay Bayindir, Tom Heaton and Jonny Evans are still sidelined.

Noussair Mazraoui suffered an injury scare in the draw at Goodison Park, though there was no official update on his condition ahead of the home match with Ipswich Town on Wednesday night.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Tuesday afternoon, Ruben Amorim provided a brief update on his selection options. “I think it is the same, they are improving but nobody is recovering for this game,” he said.

It is unclear whether Noussair Mazraoui will be available after he took a knock to his knee in the opening exchanges of the weekend draw with Everton. The Moroccan was able to carry on after he received treatment on the pitch but signalled to be replaced in the 70th minute of the match with discomfort in his right knee. Amorim initially planned to replace Matthijs de Ligt with Leny Yoro but was forced to change his plans and take the former Bayern Munich star off instead.

The 27-year-old has been a key player for United this season and has made 38 appearances across all competitions. He has started all but two matches since Amorim arrived, and only Andre Onana, Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot have played more minutes in the Premier League for United this season.
