Manchester United are set to resume their Europa League campaign this evening as they host Sevilla. It is their third successive tie against a Spanish side after previously knocking Barcelona and Real Betis out of the competition.

Despite being away for the second leg, the Red Devils will be highly confident of reaching the semi-final after recently returning to form and picking up two consecutive wins in the Premier League. Meanwhile, Sevilla have failed to impress in La Liga this season and currently sit only five points above the relegation zone.

United remain the hot favourites to win the competition in what would be their first European trophy since beating Ajax in the Europa League final six years ago. Sevilla are ahead of only Union SG, despite winning the competition on four occasions over the last nine campaigns.

Here is the latest injury news ahead of Man Utd vs Sevilla...

Injury news

Man Utd

Manchester United have suffered a fresh injury blow after Marcus Rashford picked up an issue during their win over Everton at the weekend. Erik ten Hag has confirmed the forward will be sidelined for a ‘few games’ and could be replaced by Anthony Martial. The Red Devils will also be without Scott McTominay who hasn’t trained with the squad in the lead-up to today’s game, though it has been claimed that his injury isn’t too serious.

Luke Shaw will miss out after he was withdrawn in the first half of last week’s win over Brentford. However, the defender could make a return over the next couple of matches.

Meanwhile, Donny van de Beek, Alejandro Garnacho and Tom Heaton all remain on the sidelines. Van de Beek won’t return until next season, however the latter two could feature before the summer.

Sevilla

Sevilla will be without Pape Gueye at Old Trafford, with the Frenchman ineligible to star for them in the competition after joining from Marseille on loan during the January transfer window.

Meanwhile, Jesus Manuel Corona will miss out after picking up a muscle injury back in August. The Mexican has only made one appearance for Sevilla this season. Joan Jordan is also unavailable due to an Achilles problem that he picked up earlier this month.
