Man Utd vs Liverpool date and kick-off time confirmed plus 7 other United Premier League matches

Erik ten Hag’s second home game as Manchester United manager will see Liverpool travel to Old Trafford.

The dates and times for Manchester United’s opening eight Premier League fixtures of the 2022/23 campaign have been confirmed.

The initial fixture release announcement last month only named the order of the Red Devils’ games, as well as a rough date for the matches.

However, following the broadcasters selections, we know for certain when United will be in Premier League action over August and September.

Which fixtures have been changed?

Only one of the original fixture dates was set in stone, the Red Devils’ clash with Brighton & Hove Albion on the opening weekend of the season, which will take place on Sunday 7 August (2pm kick-off).

Erik ten Hag’s first away game follows a week later when United travel to Brentford on 13 August, before Liverpool make the trip to the Theatre of Dreams.

That clash has been moved to a Monday night, and will kick off at 8pm on 22 August.

Other notable changes see United host Arsenal on Sunday 4 September (4:30pm), while Leeds United play at Old Trafford on Sunday 18 September (2pm).

Remarkably, this is the only one of the Red Devils’ opening eight Premier League matches that will not be broadcast live on UK television.

Sky Sports will show matches against Brighton, Brentford, Liverpool, Arsenal and Crystal Palace, while BT Sport have the rights to fixtures against Southampton and Leicester, with the latter to be played on a Thursday night.
