The Red Devils are said to have submitted a mammoth £76.3million bid for the winger, with Ten Hag eyeing a reunion.
But Ajax have rejected the bid, which is the second offer made by United, according to Sky Sports.
Antony has already said: “I’m not asking (for Ajax) to release me, I am asking Ajax to sell me as the highest bid received by a player who plays in the Eredivisie.”

Osimhen links shot down
Victor Osimhen is one player who appears unlikely to join United this summer.
Amid links with a Cristiano Ronaldo swap deal, Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda has spoken out.
He said via the Express: “No negotiations in progress, no swaps, Victor Osimhen is a Napoli player and wants to play the Champions League with his Napoli after winning it on the pitch with pride together with the coach and his teammates.”

Aubameyang interest
United are now said to be battling Chelsea for the signing of Barcelona striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Blues need a striker after losing Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku this summer, and Aubameyang is seen as a good short-term option.
But according to GianlucaDiMarzio, United are also interested in the experienced frontman.
