Man Utd predicted XI vs West Ham: Seven changes from Carabao Cup final line-up - gallery

We’ve predicting Erik ten Hag will make several alterations from Sunday’s win over Newcastle.

Erik ten Hag is expected to make a number of alterations for Wednesday’s game against West Ham United, from the one which started Sunday’s Carabao Cup final.

It’s been a hectic recent period for Manchester United, who beat Barcelona and Newcastle United in intense matches last week and face Liverpool at the weekend. Ten Hag also spoke about the importance of utilising his squad during his pre-match press conference, with several fringe players expected to come into the side.

The likes of Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Tyrell Malacia and Scott McTominay could be handed starts in the FA Cup fifth-round tie, while the majority of the side that started against Newcastle are likely to be rotated.

No-one has played more matches for United this season than Marcus Rashford, who could be given a night off. Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro have also played a lot of football over an action-packed February and could be rested. However, Bruno Fernandes might keep his place in the team despite playing as many games as Rashford this campaign, while a lack of options up top means Wout Weghorst is expected to start again.

Elsewhere, Luke Shaw and Fred are doubts for the game and could miss out with knocks, while Anthony Martial is still unavailable due to a hip problem. Christian Eriksen and Donny van de Beek are long-term absentees and won’t be back for the visit of the Hammers.

Here’s how we think United will line up for the FA Cup clash on Wednesday…
