Manchester United take on Real Betis on Saturday in their second friendly match during the club’s winter break in Spain.

The Red Devils faced Cadiz on Wednesday night, losing 4-2 and drawing a furious reaction from manager Erik ten Hag. The Dutchman named an experimentary team, which was made up almost entirely of Under-21 players after the break. But that might not be the case at the Benito Villamarin stadium in Seville as United look to step up their preparations ahead of the season resuming on 21 December.

United face Burnley in the Carabao Cup and will return to Manchester after Saturday’s game and work at Carrington. Yet, with the World Cup ongoing, Ten Hag remains limited for options and still won’t be able to name a starting XI that is made up solely of senior players.

He is expected to name a similar team at the weekend to the one which started on Wednesday, with one notable change. David de Gea didn’t play against Cadiz and watched from the stands, with Martin Dubravka starting in his place.

There was no injury for the Spaniard, who trained as normal on Thursday, and will likely play this on Saturday. Here’s how we think United will line up…
