Manchester United face their second and final game of their mid-season training camp in Spain, when they take on Real Betis this Saturday.

The Red Devils lost 4-2 to Cadiz on Wednesday with Erik ten Hag naming an experimental side, but the clash with Betis will likely see United hand more minutes to key players. Following the trip to Spain, the players and coaching staff will return to Manchester and step up their preparations ahead of the resumption of club football on 21 December, when the Red Devils face Burnley in the Carabao Cup. Here’s all the key information ahead of the friendly game at the Benito Villamarin Stadium against Betis.

What time is kick-off?

The match takes place at 5pm, situated nicely between Morocco vs Portugal and England vs France at the World Cup.

The match is available exclusively on MUTV, and can be streamed on the United website and app. The channel will also show pre-match build-up and reaction once the game has concluded.

Latest team news

United played almost their strongest possible XI on Wednesday, with one exception - David de Gea watched on from the stands as Martin Dubravka deputised between the sticks. However, there is no injury for United’s no.1, who has been seen in training since the Cadiz match, and could well start in Seville.

Other senior players such as Victor Lindelof, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Scott McTominay, Donny van de Beek and Anthony Martial are also expected to be selected from the off. It’s unlikely the outfield players will manage 90 minutes though, and a spate of second-half substitutes can be expected.

Youngsters Zidane Iqbal, Kobbie Mainoo and Shola Shoretire impressed on Wednesday, with the second-half side made up almost entirely of Under-21 players.

What about Real Betis?

While United had 15 representatives at the World Cup, only five Betis players travelled to Qatar: Youssouf Sabaly (Senegal), German Pezzella (Argentina), Guido Rodriguez (Argentina), Andres Guardado (Mexico) and William Carvalho (Portugal). Long-term injury absentee Juanmi also won’t be available for Saturday’s friendly.

Premier League followers may recognise Claudio Bravo, Martin Montoya and Willian Jose, all of whom had relatively brief stints in the English top flight. Meanwhile, Sergio Canales, Nabil Fekir, Joaquin and Borja Iglesias are among the club’s household names.

Betis are currently sixth in La Liga and sit just outside the Champions League places on goal difference. United could also play the Spanish side again this season, with Betis securing their spot in the last-16 of the Europa League, something Ten Hag’s men will also achieve should they overcome Barcelona over two legs in February.
