Man Utd vs Lyon predicted line-up gallery - three changes with senior midfielder to return

Erik ten Hag will be forced into at least one change from the team that beat Leeds United last week.

Manchester United face their second match of the summer when they take on Lyon tomorrow (Wednesday).

The Red Devils began their pre-season preparations with a 2-0 win over Leeds United last week, as Noam Emeran and Joe Hugill grabbed the goals. Seven days on and Erik ten Hag will bring his men to the Scottish capital to face Lyon at Murrayfield, before jetting off to the US on the club’s summer tour.

The second game will be taken a tad more seriously than the opening match in Norway, with Ten Hag likely to give his senior players a longer run out. The likes of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez, Mason Mount and Jadon Sancho started against Leeds, but all 11 selected from the off were replaced at the break. That XI included fringe squad members such as Alvaro Fernandez, Kobbie Mainoo, Hannibal and Amad.

In the second period, a team made up almost entirely of Under-21 players was selected - that could be the same in Edinburgh, albeit Ten Hag will have more options this time. Fred, Donny van de Beek and Antony were named in the squad on Tuesday, along with the shock inclusion of Jonny Evans. However, Dean Henderson and Tom Heaton were left out, meaning there will be an inexperienced goalkeeper on duty for the Red Devils. Eric Bailly, Alex Telles, Anthony Martial are also missing.

Senior players Diogo Dalot, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, Casemiro, Scott McTominay, Christian Eriksen, Bruno Fernandes, Facundo Pellistri, Anthony Elanga, Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford were all seen back at Carrington, but Ten Hag said after the Leeds win that it’s unlikely any will be fit enough to face Lyon following their extended holidays.

But how will United line up? We’re tipping Ten Hag to make two changes from last week, when his side take to the pitch at Murrayfield...
