Manchester United star Paul Pogba has one fewer option this summer as he searches for a new club, according to reports.

The Frenchman is out of contract this summer and with no new deal agreed, an Old Trafford exit is inevitable.

Pogba has been linked with a move back to Juventus, while Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with a move.

But as per L’Equipe, the midfielder may now be down to one option, with PSG walking away from the race.

Elsewhere, United have been dealt a setback in their bid to replace Pogba, with Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong making his preference clear.

“I prefer to stay with Barcelona,” De Jong told ESPN. “Barcelona is just my dream club. Also from a young age. I just said it too.

“I’ve never regretted my choice despite the fact that I had hoped for more in terms of prizes than I’ve achieved so far. But I have never regretted my choice.”

De Jong has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer, but it appears a move is unlikely, or at least if the midfielder gets his way.

Back to outgoings, and it seems United are likely to lose youngster Brandon Williams this summer.

The player’s agent, Rob Segal, has told CaughtOffside: “He is a young lad and had to move to the other end of the country, but what he doesn’t want to do now is go back to Old Trafford and just wipe off all this season’s hard work by sitting back on the bench.

“Manchester United know and appreciate this, so for Williams, it is more probable for him to go out on another loan, but Manchester United aren’t ruling out any eventuality.

“It is now the job of the representative to take any offers for Williams back to Manchester United to consider, and I am informed that assurances to do so have been made by the club.”
